Trip from Marrakech: 04 days from Marrakech to Fes:
Day 01: Marrakech- Atlas Mountains- Ait Benhaddou- Ouarzazate- Dades Valley:
Trip from Marrakech is a real chance to explore the highlights of Desert tours. So, we will start our journey from Marrakech heading to our destination Dades. We will travel across Tizi n Tichka pass 2260 metres altitude. It is a nice panoramic, impressive view which provides us with great opportunity to have some fabulous, memorable pictures.
Additionally, the trip continues further south to the UNESCO heritage, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. The site is one of the most exotic and best-preserved Kasbahs in the entire Atlas region. It is known for being the best area for Hollywood movie makers, as a list of films was filmed here such: Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. We will walk through the castle, and have lunch. After doing so, we continue our route towards Dades passing by Ouarzazate, Skoura oasis and Rose valley. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Dades valley- Todra Gorges – Merzouga (camp in desert):
After having your breakfast, we re-start our trip to Sahara Desert. We will have to visit and see Todra Gorges which is a fabulous natural site worthy to see and have a walk through. After so, we make it to Sahara Desert via Erfoud, known to be the capital of dates and fossils.
Upon our arrival to Merzouga, we switch the vehicle for camels and get ready for adventure. The ride will take us across Erg Chebbi dunes enjoying the sceneries of the area. The sunset view on top of the dunes will be the best experience ever. Arrive to the camp in the middle of dunes, we receive you with a cup of tea as hospitality. Day 03: Sahara Desert sightseeing:
Wake up early in the morning to attend and enjoy a spectacular sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight. Set up over the dunes, waiting for the sun to rise and meanwhile feel the cold morning breeze are feelings you will not find elsewhere but here in the Desert. After so, back to the camp for breakfast and shower, then get ready for free day around Sahara Desert.
To start with, you will have a unique opportunity to visit Gnaoua village “Black people” originally from Mali, Niger…. They will entertain you with their authentic instruments. After spending a worthwhile moment with Gnaoua; we drive deep in the Desert for a panoramic view that shows the contrast of golden dunes with black volcanic rocks. Later on, a cup of tea with nomad family is worth to explore the way they survive and feel the harshness of life for being a nomad. We follow our passion to explore one of the abandoned coal mines in the area.
Late afternoon, we go back to the village of Merzouga for lunch. Back to the hotel for free time. Night in the hotel. Trip from Marrakech
Day 04: Merzouga – Ziz Valley- Midelt – Fez:
After breakfast, we start our last day to the north through the Tafilalet palm grove. You will see thousands of palm trees along the 20km of road. This way leads us to the Ziz valley, which is a river coming down from the high Atlas to feed the palm grove. Here we make a stop and from this high viewpoint we enjoy a magnificent view of the valley. Another stop will be in Midelt, just in the heart of the Atlas where we will have free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, we continue our way through the Cedar Forest where we might coincide with monkeys. Subsequently, our journey continues to the next stop Ifran – situated on the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters. Its broad avenues, its urban development with perfect cleanness, the gardens, the green areas and its architecture make this city look like a Swiss town. The area has also an important ski resort, Michlifen resort. Late afternoon we arrive at fez, drop you at the hotel. End of our trip from Marrakech service.
