Marrakech travel: 7 days Marrakech & desert experience
Marrakech travel’s itinerary:
Day 01: arrive to Marrakech:
This Marrakech travel journey starts and finishes in Marrakech. Our staff will be waiting for you at the airport of Marrakech. As you arrive, we meet and take you the hotel to relax. If you arrive in the morning, we start Marrakech travel by a walking tour to explore the old medina. Throughout Marrakech sightseeing, we will visit the main important historical landmarks such as: Koutoubia Mosque (External part), Saadian Tombs as well as Bahia Palace. A walk through the Grand Bazar of the medina is inevitable. The Jamaa Fna square is also a must to walk. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 02: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley:
After having the breakfast, we start our journey from Marrakech heading to our destination Dades. The trip will take us crossing Tizi n Tichka pass 2260m. It is a nice panoramic, impressive view which provides us with great opportunity to have some fabulous, memorable pictures.
Furthermore, our journey continues south to the UNESCO heritage Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. The site is one of the most exotic and best-preserved Kasbahs in the entire Atlas region. It is known for being the best area for Hollywood movie makers, as a list of films was filmed here such: Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. We will walk through the castle, and have lunch.
Additionally, we continue our route towards Dades passing by Ouarzazate, Skoura oasis and Rose valley. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Dades valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (camp in desert):
You have the breakfast and then get ready to leave for the desert. On the road, we drive through Todra Gorges – a fabulous natural site worthy to see and have a walk. Subsequently, we carry on our Marrakech travel to Sahara Desert via Erfoud, known for being the capital of dates and fossils.
As we arrive at Merzouga, we switch the vehicle for dromedaries and get ready for adventure. The dromedaries will take us across Erg Chebbi dunes enjoying the sceneries of the area. The sunset view on top of the dunes will be the best experience ever.
Finally, we arrive at the camp in the middle of dunes, and we’ll be received with a cup of tea as local hospitality. Dinner and breakfast will be served in your luxury camp. The tents are well equipped with all needs.
Day 04: Sahara Desert sightseeing:
In order to make your marrakech travel trip unforgettable, you need to wake up early in the morning to enjoy a spectacular sunrise. Sitting up over the dunes, waiting for the sun to rise on the horizon and meanwhile feel the cold morning breeze are feelings you will not find elsewhere but here in the Desert. Breakfast is right at the camp.
Today will be spent around the desert seeing and exploring the local lifestyle. You will have the opportunity to visit Gnaoua village “Black people” (originally from Sub-saharan countries) to entertain you with their authentic instruments.
Moreover, we drive deep in the Desert for a panoramic view that illustrates the contrast of golden dunes with black volcanic rocks. In addition, we gonna have a cup of tea with the nomads exploring what it means being a nomad. Later on, we follow our path to abandoned coal mine. In the afternoon, we drive back for lunch before we check for the hotel. Marrakech travel
Day 05: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Agdez – Ouarzazate:
In the morning, you take the breakfast, then get ready to leave the Desert to Ouarzazate. The drive will take us through the former city of Sijilmassa where we will have a walk through its old souk. Later on, we continue along Berber villages like Alnif and Nkoub. So, we stop for lunch in one of local restaurants before we cross the palm tree groves of Draa valley. Subsequently, this Marrakech travel adventure persists with a panoramic view in Agdz and the breath-taking landscapes of Anti Atlas Mountains. Late afternoon, arrive to Ouarzazate. Check into your hotel.
Day 06: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech:
Get up in the morning, have your breakfast and get ready to leave Ouarzazate. Before we leave, a short tour through the city is inevitable. Kasbah Taourirt, Cinema Museum as well as Atlas Studio are in our bucket-list for today “OPTIONAL”. After doing so, we will take our way through the winding road of Atlas all the way to Marrakech. Early afternoon, arrive to Marrakech. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 07: Transfer to the airport:
Upon your flight time, we pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the airport of Marrakech. End of your trip in Morocco. End of our services. Looking forward to meeting you again.
