Tangier to Chefchaouen day trip

Today, you will be picked up from Tangier to enjoy a day trip to Chefchaouen, which is one of the most beautiful towns in the Rif Mountains. The town is known for its shady valleys, and medina of white houses with blue doors…Chaouen offers for its visitors the charm of a city that has preserved traditional Moroccan arts.

Along this excursion from Tangier, we will head up into the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, a town with a stunning walled medina, and originally a Berber post built on a mountainside, Chefchaouen is a city with a special vibes and unique charm that give an impression of unreality. With its blue-rinsed houses, the whole city seems to be bathed in azure. As you walk around the city, you feel as if you were in a dream.

The main square Uta – Hammam is the heart of Chefchaouen and features a kasbah built in the 18th century. The busy market offers a mix of traditional Moroccan wares and souvenirs, with some excellent bargains. The town itself is easy to explore. The kasbah, built by Moulay Ismail, is now practically a ruin, next to the castle is a great mosque. Although the old medina is small, but you will find souks offering an array of goods. If you head to the Jewish quarter behind the jewelry souk, you will get a feel for the difference in style between it and the main Arab town. Ras El-ma is a lovely picturesque site to hold a full image of the whole city.

Around 03pm, we pick you up and drive back to Tangier, drop you off the hotel. End of our services.
