Day 01: Casablanca - Rabat
Upon your arrival, we start your private tour in Morocco. So, we will travel to Casablanca for the magnificent views of the Moroccan countryside. Firstly, we visit Hassan II Mosque – the 4th largest mosque in the world, decorated in beautiful tiles by master craftsmen. ..
Later on, we continue to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to visit the fascinating and ancient Chellah fortress.
Moreover, our tour in Morocco also includes a visit to the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, built in homage to the king Mohamed V, who passed away in 1961. Also, his son and successor Hassan II, who passed away in 1999, is entombed here.
Later on, we will stop at Oudaya Kasbah before we check in for the hotel.
Day 02: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez:
Our tour in Morocco resumes with a lovely Moroccan breakfast. We will meet you at the lobby at 8:00 AM and leave Rabat for Fez. So, journey will take us via the imperial city of Meknes – founded by a local Berber tribe.
Meknes has many historical sites including Bab Mansour, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum and the ancient Royal Stable. Additionally, we shift northeast to the Volubilis ‘Roman Ruins’, a UNESCO heritage site well worth visiting. The history of Voubilis takes us back to the 3rd century BC.
The Berber name of the site is “Oualili” which means “oleander plant”. Here, you will be accompanied with an official guide with whom you will cover all the historical secrets of this iconic site.
Later on, we contiue our tour in Morocco to Fez, arriving late that afternoon for an overnight stay at the Hotel/Riad.
Day 03: Tour in Morocco: Fes exploration:
After your delicious Moroccan breakfast, we will meet you at the reception by 09 AM and take you to enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Fez – the oldest of Morocco’s four imperial cities.
During our tour in Fes with a private local guide, we will cover the main attractions with historical and cultural interests in Fez, including the University of Al Karaouine, founded by a woman named Fatima al Fihri in 859. This might be the oldest degree-granting university in the world.
In addition, the medieval city of Fez El Bali “Old Fez” remains unspoiled. Our walking tour in Fes includes also a visit to the exotic Bou Inania Medrasa… In the afternoon, we guide you back to the hotel.
Day 04: Fez – Ifran – Ziz Valley – Merzouga:
We resume our trip after having breakfast. Our tour in Morocco continues as we leave Fez and drive towards the southeast, joining the caravan road to the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi.
During this journey, you will experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at the Cedar Forest where you will see Barbary macaques. Subsequently, we keep going via the mountains to arrive at Midelt.
After lunch in Midelt, we carry on our tour in Morocco, watching the scenery gradually changing to reveal the hints of the desert as we approach the city of Errachidia.
This trip in Morocco continues along the luxuriant Ziz Valley and the Tafilalet palm grove, famous for date cultivation. This area is the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Overnight in a Riad or Hotel in Merzouga.
Day 05: Explore Merzouga:
Today will be to discover the Sahara Desert. Hence, after breakfast, our day begins exploring the Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert of Merzouga.
We will visit the ancient market of Rissani – historically known as Sijilmassa. It is one of the most important stopping points for trade caravans coming from Sub-Saharan countries towards Marrakesh or vice-versa.
After that, we will drive to Khamlia village where we can have Moroccan Pizza in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we get ready for a Morocco desert camel trek throughout the golden dunes of Merzouga. You will spend the night under the stars in a desert camp.
Day 06: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Boumalne Dades
Early in the morning, the camel guide will wake you up to watch what might be the best sunrise of your life. Surely, you cannot fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses.
Following breakfast, we will resume our Morocco tour and leave for Todra Gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in the south of Morocco.
After lunch, we will drive through Dades Valley, where we will see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. To sum up the journey, the night will be spent in a Hotel in Dades Valley.
Day 07: Dades – Ait Ben haddou Kasbah – Atlas Mountain – Marrakech
Right after breakfast, we will depart for Marrakech via the Rose Valley with a stop in a rose distillation co-operative in order to get a clear idea of how rose products are manufactured.
Furthermore, we will pass by the Skoura Palm grove to arrive at the “Hollywood of Africa”, the city of Ouarzazate. This latter is famous for being the spot where many movies were made, for instance: “”Gladiator”, “Lawrence of Arabia”, “The Mummy” and so many others.
Later on, we continue to the famous UNESCO World Heritage site Ksar or Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. This very wonderful fortified city stands at the edge of a hill separated by the Ounila river.
Next, we drive via the Atlas Mountains through one of Morocco’s most amazing roads, the Tichka Pass, that stands over 2260m above sea level. While we drive to Marrakech, we will stop for a cup of coffee.
Finally, we continue to the red city of Marrakesh. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 08: Exploring Marrakech
This trip in Morocco provides us with great privilege to explore Marrakech. After breakfast, we will take a guided tour of Marrakech, “the Red City of Morocco”.
So, we will spend our time exploring the beautiful secrets of the Moroccan lifestyle. Also, we ensure to see all the sites with historical and cultural background, including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian tombs, the beautiful Bahia Palace and the Ben Youssef Madrasa…
Finally, we end up the morning walking through the medina alleys, getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans displaying their crafts before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna Square.
Finally, we have lunch at a restaurant near the square. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the local atmosphere…
Day 09: Marrakech – Essaouira
start the day 9 of your Morocco Tour with a breakfast at the hotel. We pick you up and then drive towards the windy town of Essaouira. Along the way, we will have the chance to take pictures of goats climbing the Argan trees to find fruits.
Upon our arrival, we have lunch at one of the restaurants by the beach, and the adventure continues exploring Essaouira. Within our trip to Essaouira, we will have a private guided visit around the town. Later, you will have free time to wander the town by yourself.
Day 10: Essaouira to Casablanca
After breakfast, we will drive to the International Airport of Casablanca via the coast to drop you off at the airport. End of your Morocco travel package.
