Day Trip To Portuguese fortress “El Jadida” from Casablanca
This is one of the best day trips from Casablanca to visit El Jadida, originally called Mazagan. It is a Moroccan city located on the Atlantic coast about 110 kilometers from Casablanca. The drive takes around an hour one way. Mazagan Fortress stands in elegant ruin overlooking the sea. It is a UNESCO-listed site.
Right after the breakfast in Casablanca, we collect you and drive on a private trip to explore one of the ex-Portuguese cities in Morocco. The city is not huge; thus, our private visit allows us to discover El Jadida and enjoy the beach and the calm of this charming little town. We will take the time to stroll through the narrow streets of the small Portuguese city and explore its ramparts. The city has other interesting sites to offer such: the Portuguese cistern, underground water supply; built during the construction of the Portuguese citadel in the early sixteenth century, enjoy beautiful views of the city skyline and the ocean. Here we can relax by the sea and enjoy the quite beach, observe the fishermen who go to sea in small boats for fishing. As for most coastal cities in Morocco, it is possible to eat many varieties of fish, freshly caught or buy fresh fish for grilling. A delight! At the end of the day, we pick you up around 04pm and drive back to Casablanca. Drop you off at the hotel. End of our services.
